It is now 10 years since the Gloger organ in Kongsberg Church was fully restored (and the decision was taken to devote the last week of January each year to a celebration of classical music in Norway). Each year we have had the pleasure of welcoming a larger and more enthusiastic audience to the Gloger Festival, and the 10th anniversary festival will be no exception....

Today, July 29th is Olsok in Norway, marking the day in 1030 when Viking king Olav was killed at the battle of Stiklestad. King Olav Haraldsson (995 – 1030) is credited with converting Norway to Christianity.
The St. Olav Wirral Walk will take place in the UK on Saturday July 31st. St. Olav, the “Viking Saint” is the Patron Saint of Scandinavia, and the walk celebrates St. Olav’s day.
