Norway wins fourth place in Eurovision Song Contest

Margaret BergerEmmelie de Forest from Denmark won first place in the Eurovision Song Contest, and Norway's Margaret Berger ended up in fourth place. "I am touched and proud, both of myself and our team," says Berger to NRK. This has been an incredible journey, and I look at this as the start of a career in Europe that I am ready to take on, the singer explains.

Norway collected a steady stream of points throughout the entire show, and even though Berger did not reach all the way to the top, she put in a solid effort in the finale.

Denmark was a favorite long before the final show, and many people both hoped and suspected de Forest to win. Berger says that the Danish singer 100 percent deserved to win.

"Margaret did a fantastic job and got us the best placement we have had in many years. We cannot be disappointed with ending up in fourth place," says Morten Thomassen in the Norwegian Eurovision Song Contest club.
