Weekend: Letters to the EditorLetters towards the end of the week from worried readers who had not been able to find us for a couple of days, actually gave us a lift, in the midst of our gloomy two days with technical problems, caused by a malfunctioning server. It is after all a positive sign that our readers miss us! And the problems led us to better and more secure technical facilities.
Letters towards the end of the week from worried readers who had not been able to find us for a couple of days, actually gave us a lift, in the midst of our gloomy two days with technical problems, caused by a malfunctioning server.
It is after all a positive sign that our readers miss us!
Here is a typical letter out of the bunch:-I have no idea why, but I couldn't get through to you for a couple of days, I don't know what happened but I was not happy about the experience. I don't want to lose my favorite newspaper!
-I just returned from New York and Washington D.C., seeing the exhibits 'Norwegians in New York 1825-2000' and ' Vikings: the North Atlantic Saga', and I need all of your sites to find out more information.
-I told everyone on the tour about the joys of reading The Norway Post and that I found it at the Sons of Norway site----so I hope that those with computers will soon be enjoying it too.
-Our tour was arranged by The Vesterheim Norwegian - American Museum, Decorah, Iowa. It was very nicely done.
-God dag,
Ardell
Thank you, Ardell, for your kind words, and for being such a good ambassador for Norway post!
And here is another one from the US, a poem this time:
What is wrong with your Doorway today?
I came to read the paper in the usual way.
But I seem to have no stories to read,
As a 404 URL unavailable message is all that I see.
I can't get access from AOL,
They said that the default page was not fixed well.
I hope you have your troubles patched by the end of the week,
For I shall be trying again for the news that I seek.
Thanks
BJ
Well done!
And I am sure glad that we did have the 'troubles patched by the end of the week', both for BJ and all our other readers.
And I'm glad to be able to tell you that these problems led us to what we hope will be better and more secure technical facilities.
From us here at Norway Post, - have a nice Weekend!
