FMC Technologies, Inc. has announced that it has signed an agreement with Total Exploration and Production Angola for the manufacture and supply of subsea production equipment. The award is valued at around US$65 million. 
Petoro, which manages the Norwegian state's direct financial interest in the development of petroleum resources, reports an income for Norway of NOK 97 billion for 2009, down from NOK 155.4 billion in 2008. 
Statoil has proven the existence of oil in a well in the Tampen area in the north-eastern area of the Snorre field in the North Sea. The well, named lower Lunde, was drilled to a depth of 2652 metres.

More than 200 persons were evacuated from the Mongstad Refinery Monday morning, when explosive mixture of propane and methane gas began leaking from a pipeline. No one was injured, and the leak was stopped. 
The development of the giant Russian offshore gas field Shtockman in the Barents Sea has been postponed. The Board of the Shtockman Development has voted to delay investment decisions until next year.
