Norway's energy producer Statoil was the highest bidder on 21 leases on Wednesday in the central area lease sale in the US Gulf of Mexico, further strengthening its global exploration portfolio. 
Norwegian energy producer Statoil has decided to cut the time between discovery to development of certain new fields on the Norwegian Continental Shelf by 50 per cent. 
Norwegian energy producer Statoil has awarded Aibel Norge the contract for “Time-limited Modification Capacity for Gullfaks (photo) and Visund”. The value of the contract will be around NOK 130 million. 
Aker Solutions has signed a major contract with Petrobras to supply sulphate removal units for two FPSOs (Floating Production Storage and Offloading) platforms which will operate offshore Brazil.
