Aker Solutions has signed a frame agreement with Petrobras to supply 40 subsea trees for the Iara and Guará fields, located in the challenging pre-salt area of the Santos basin offshore Brazil.
A fresh report by the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) estimates that there are untapped oil and gas resources offshore Northern Norway worth NOK 500 billion (nearly USD 90 billion).
Statoil and its partners in the Njord licence in the Norwegian Sea have resolved to develop the north-west flank of Njord. The otal investments are estimated at around NOK 1.8 billion.
The operator Eni has announced two new oil discoveries made in Block 15/06, Nzanza-1 and Cinguvu-1, offshore Angola, - a block in which Norway's Statoil has a 5% working interest.
Statoil has found oil and gas in the Fossekall prospect just north of the Norne field (ill.) in the Norwegian Sea, with proved recoverable resources estimated at between 37 and 63 million barrels of oil.
