Prices of new detached houses increased by 1.7 per cent from the second quarter to the third quarter of 2011.
From the third quarter of 2010 to the third quarter of 2011, the prices of new detached houses increased by 4.8 per cent. The contractors’ construction costs for detached houses of wood increased by 3.6 per cent in the same period, according to SSB's construction cost index.
Prices of new detached houses reached a record low in the first quarter of 1993. Since then, the prices have increased by 210.2 per cent.
