SAS hires 130 pilots

The Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS) has announced that it will hire 130 new pilots by next summer. This is equal to a 10 per cent increase in the number of pilots for SAS.

Only pilots who have been laid off in earlier SAS cut-backs will now be re-hired.

- During the staff reductions we entered into a collective agreement, giving first rights to those laid off, says Chief of Pilots, Eivind Bjurstrøm to ABC nyheter.

Many will probably come from low fares airline Norwegian, which hhred them when SAS let them go.
