The heavy rains in Norway this summer will most likely result in a poor grain harvest this year, Aftenposten reports. The fields are too wet for the use of combines or other farm machines.
In a normal year, more than half of the grain would have been harvested by the last week of August. However, this year only 20 per cent of the grain has been harvested so far.
In addition, the quality of much of this year's grain has been reduced, due to the wet summer, the paper writes.
