Norway exported seafood valued at NOK 2.3 billion in July, according to Statistics Norway. This is an increase by NOK 94 million compared with the same month last year. 
This year Norwegian fish farmers are producing 12,000 tons of cod, but in ten years this will have increased to 100,000 tons, investors and analysts believe. 
The Norwegian Directorate of Fisheries has awarded a total of four licenses for krill-fisheries in the Antarctic. Aker BioMarine has been awarded two of the licenses. 
The export of Norwegian salmon so far this year has broken all records. The export value in the first quarter reached NOK 4.3 billion. 
The export value of Norwegian seafood had by the end of April reached NOK 12.5 billion, up NOK 1.6 billion or 15 per cent, compared with the same period last year. 
A delegation from the Russian Veterinary Institute is in Norway for new talks on the continuing salmon conflict between the two nations. 
The export value of Norwegian seafood reached NOK 9.8 billion in the first quarter, an increase by NOK 1.4 billion - or 16.5 per cent compared with the same periode last year.
