Statoil wants to stay on in Algeria

altNorwegian energy provider Statoil wants to continue its operations in Algeria, according to Statoil country manager Rolf Magne Larsen.

- Our intension is to continue. The same probably goes for Statoil's co-operators, BP and Sonatrach, as well as Algerian authorities, Larsen says to the newspaper Stavanger Aftenblad.

- Now the task is to find out what happened, in detail, what went wrong, and learn from that, he says.

Larsen is of the opinion that the work at Statoil's office in Algeria has been performed well, the situation considered, and he gives credit to the employees for their efforts.
