ABB to upgrade hydro power plant in the Philippines Engineering company ABB Norway has won a contract to deliver control systems and electrical equipment for the upgrading of a hydro power plant on the island of Luzon in the Philippines.
The value of the contract is around NOK t60 million, and the work is to be completed in 2014. - By upgrading to new and more energy effctive control systems, modern ABB technology will extend the life of older hydro power stations, and increase power output and profilability, says ABB CEO Arne Sveen.
