One of three work overtime gratis

Fifty per cent of all Norwegians work overtime every week. One out of three does this without compensation, according to a new survey made by InFact News for Xtra Personnel.

The figures show that there is a higher rate of overtime work in private industry, where 60 per cent of those asked say they work overtime. In the public sector the figure is 44 per cent, Dagens Næringsliv writes.

Nearly 35 per cent of those working in the public sector say they work overtime without compensation. In the private sector the equivalent figure is around 32 per cent.
