Football: Norway - Portugal 1-0
Norway's goal was scored by Erik Huseklepp in the 21st minute, when he put the ball into an empty net after John Carew had blocked a clearance by the Portuguese goal keeper. The Portugese had a difficult time getting past the Norwegian defence, led by Brede Hangeland. Norway missed Jon Arne Riise who was out with a concussion, and it did not help matters that Kjetil Wæhler had to leave the field after a blow to the head from Hugo Almeida's elbow. Also, Carew's knee injury over the past weeks, made it impossible for him to play the whole match. He was replaced by Mohammed Abdelaoue in the 38th minute. However, all in all a good evening on the job for "Drillo's men". (NRK/Aftenposten) Written by Rolleiv Solholm Related ArticlesFootball: Huseklepp scored twice for Portsmouth
