The 2011 Amanda winners - King of Devil's Island won Best Norwegian Film in Theatrical Release, Erik Skjoldbjærg won Best Director withNokas, while the audience award the People's Amanda went to The Troll Hunter during the big evening of celebration in Haugesund for the film industry. With its five Amanda Awards, Limbo became the biggest success.

It is exactly 20 years ago Brovoll and Moe met for the first time - and it was during the very first edition of the Hell Blues Festival in 1992. Since then, the Jolly Moe recorded 4 cd's, where the recent "Welcome To Jimbo Jambo Land" was released last fall. Critiques have been brilliant and gentlemen have been very popular on the Norwegian blues venues and festivals last year.

MARI BOINE, JENS CARELIUS AND DESTROYER IN THE MEDIEVAL PARK - A few days ago, we revealed that Kanye West is coming to our festival on Wednesday the 10th of August. Today we have added three more names to the festival poster. The first day in the Medieval Park will be opened by Jens Carelius who recently released the fantastic album The Architect. Canadian indie hero Destroyer will also be playing on the same day.

Welcome to the Midnight Opera at Steinvikholm Castle in inner Trondheimsfjord; a medieval drama based on true historical events!. The area around Lofthus centre outlines the scenery for the festival which always take place the last weekend of July.  On the background of that the nature plays an important role and better scenery for the festival is not to be found any where else.The Sweet Cherry Festival had in 2005 its 10th anniversary and is a result of great voluntarily community work and goodwill from the local people and businesses.
