Norwegian Royals visit New York

Norway's Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit will on Thursday begin a two-day visit to New York on the occasion of the centenary of the American-Scandinavian Foundation.

The Crown Prince attends the IPI Policy Forum discussing "From Crisis Development: Recovery and the Millennium Development Goals" at the International Peace Institute. The Crown Princess will also be in attendance.

The couple will also attend the opening of the exhibition Nordic Models + Common Grounds at Scandinavia House on Thursday.

On Friday Their Royal Highnesses The Crown Prince and Crown Princess will attend the Norwegian-American Chamber of Commerce Gala Luncheon on the Occasion of the Norwegian-American Trade Award to the Norwegian aarchitect firm Snøhetta.

On Friday evening they will be guests at a gala dinner held by the American-Scandinavia Foundation (ASF) to mark the 10th anniversary of the Scandinavia House cultural center.
