The word 'ski' is of Norwegian origin. Skis were used by the pioneers from Morgedal in Telemark county and 'Trysil Knut' is well know to most people. Skiing is a part of traditional Norway and it all startet with wooden skis.....years ago!
Norway is full of forests and wood of high quality is excellent for use in skis. The qualities in wood can not be synthetically copied.
