Nearly 90 people came at today’s Kick off meeting for volunteers for The Tall Ships’ Races in Stavanger last weekend in July. “I promise hard work, no pay, people complaining, but also new friends, lots of laughs, an experience for life”, says Espen Wold, who attends his tenth Tall Ships festival this year.

The biggest festival in Trondheim was 29 July - St. Olav's Day. The night before 29 July, St. Olav's vigil, was therefore important. Today the Olsok celebration will start with the Evening Prayer Vespers on 28 July at 5.30 PM. In the afternoon on 28 July there will be pilgrim walks from different places in the city. As a part of the world’s largest Ibsen collection, the National Library in Oslo can offer as many as 300 titles of and about Ibsen’s works on film and video. This audiovisual material consists of film versions, productions by the Norwegian Television Theatre (Fjernsynsteatret), and recordings of theatre performances on DVD and VHS, together with recorded Ibsen conferences and seminars.
