Crown Princess on three-week sick leave

Norway's Crown Princess Mette-Marit has been ordered to rest for three weeks, and will be on sick leave during this period. She has therefore cancelled her trip to the Vancouver Olympic Games.

According to NRK, it is therefore likely that Crown Prince Haakon will be present at the Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver, Canada instead.

The Crown Prince was informed of the sick leave when he arrived in Kashakstan, where he on Friday will open Norway's new embassy in Astana.
