Norway's men lost 23-24 to Denmark in the European Handball Championships in Graz on Tuesday. Norway led 15-11 at half-time.
Norway also led 19-15 with 15 minutes left, and Denmark led only once,- when the game was over. Kristian Kjelling scored seven goals for Norway, Håvard Tvedten five. Norway could have won, or at least held Denmark to a draw, but Håvard Tvedten missed with a penalty shot 23 seconds before the end. Denmark on the other hand, did not miss with their penalty shot seconds later, winning by 24-23. Norway's hopes for a place in the semifinals is now reduced to a minimum: They have to beat Iceland with four goals, and Croatia must at the same time beat Denmark. (NRK/Aftenposten) Rolleiv Solholm |
