The Norwegian state and Aker have come to agreement about how to avoid conflict between the owners when entering into future transactions. The supplementary agreement was signed Monday.
The need for a revision became clear in the spring of 2009, after a disagreement arose between the then Industry Minister Sylvia Brustad and Aker investor Kjell Inge Røkke. In short the agreement means that the Norwegian state now has the right to veto in Aker Holding, but only for transactions exceeding NOK 100 million. The Norwegian state today owns 30 per cent of Aker Holding, while Aker owns 60 per cent. (NRK) Rolleiv Solholm |
