Unemployment remains stable |

The Norwegian unemployment rate rose from 3.1 per cent in July to 3.2 per cent in October, according to latest figures from Statistics Norway (SSB). The unemployment increase mostly affected those over 25 years of age.
In the same period, unemployment continued to rise in other European countries. Denmark saw an increase of 0.9 percentage points, and the unemployment rate in Denmark is now 6.9 per cent. In the EU countries, the unemployment rate rose by 0.3 percentage point, ending at 9.8 per cent, while in USA it rose from 9.4 to 10.2 per cent. (SSB) Rolleiv Solholm |
