Leader of the right-wing Progress Party (FrP), Siv Jensen, says it is wrong for President Barack Obama to turn down the invitation to have lunch with King Harald. Many Norwegians agree with her:
A poll made by InFact shows that 44 per cent of those asked say it was impolite of Obama to cancel the lunch with King Harald. Another 34 per cent say Obama's decision is "quite all right". However, the reaction is stronger against the President's leaving Oslo before the Nobel Concert in his honour on Friday night. 53 per cent of those asked, say this is impolite of him to drop the concert. FrP leader Siv Jensen on the other hand says that in her opinion to drop the lunch at the Royal Palace was the worst. (NRK) Rolleiv Solholm |
