Potato harvest "a wash-out" |

Potato fields in the counties of Troendelag are completely flooded in many places, following several weeks of heavy rains, making it impossible for farmers to use their harvesting machines.
In the two counties, potato fields covering more than 1000 acres have still not been harvested, and many farmers stand to lose their main income, unless the rain stops, allowing the fields to dry up. In several places the rainfall in September has been 50 per cent above the normal, NRK reports. (NRK) Rolleiv Solholm |
