As expected Norway lost to Czechia in their second match in the in the the World Ice Hockey Championships match in Kloten, Switzerland on Monday. The Czech team outscored Norway 5-2.
Jan Marek, Petr Cajanek and Robert Vasicek scored one apiece in the opening period to give the Czechs a 3-0 lead before the first intermission. In the second period Marius Holtet and Mats Zuccarello Aasen both scored for Norway, while Miroslav Blatak scored for the Czechs. Czech Jakub Klepis finalised the scoring in the third period. - We met a team that was much better than us, said Anders Myrvold. - Possibly the best team we have played against in my time as national coach, said Roy Johansen.
