Yugoslavia's new President, Vojislav Kostunica, will pay a state visit to Norway next Tuesday. He will meet King Harald and top political leaders during his stay.
Yugoslavia's new President, Vojislav Kostunica, will pay a state visit to Norway next Tuesday.Kostunica will meet King Harald, Foreign Minister Thorbjoern Jagland and Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg during his one-day visit.
-We are pleased that President Kostunica has chosen Norway as one of the very first countries to visit after becoming Yugoslavia's new president, says Prime Minister Stoltenberg in a comment.
He says this confirms the long and positive relations between the Norwegian and Yugoslavian peoples.
Norway was one of the countries which strongly supported the political opposition in Yugoslavia under the previous regime, and prior to the election earlier this fall.
