Most young people at upper secondary schools are indifferent to the monarchy, and more than previously wants to end kingdom. These are results from a fresh survey. Thirteen per cent of young people in upper secondary schools say they are glad Norway is a monarchy and that it means a lot to them. Seventy one per cent say they are not personally involved with this issue, while 16 per cent want to terminate the kingdom. Compared with a similar survey four years ago, the results reveal that more people want to terminate, and less people are positive towards the monarchy. The answers are gathered from a representative selection of 5 100 pupils and were gathered in the beginning of September, says the administrative director Bjoern Henrichsen at the Norwegian Social Data Service (NSD), who has led the survey.
