Youngsters join Norway squad Print E-mail
Bodoe/Glimt star Trond Fredrik Ludvigsen and Hammarby's Fredrik Winsnes are called in to join Norway's football squad that travel to Portugal next week. The winger and midfielder are selected after Magne Hoset, Alexander Aas, Bengt Saeternes, Paal Strand and Frode Johnsen were forced to withdraw from the squad because of injuries. Ludvigsen, 19, is one of Norway most promising wingers, and the Bodoe club recently rejected a 15 million kroner offer for him from Monaco. Winsnes, 25, is currently on loan to Swedish side Hammarby after struggling to win a place in the Rosenborg starting line-up. Norway coach Nils Johan Semb is expected to name an additional two or three players before the squad leave. The team are playing Portugal on January 22, and either Romania or Greece two days later.
