Nearly all Norwegian pensioners are well off. This is shown by fresh figures from Norway Statistics (SSB), quoted by Dagsavisen.

The real income for the average pensioner remains between 90 and 100 per cent of end salary.
- Wage earners who are facing retirement often say they concerned over whether or not their pensions will be enough to live on. As a rule there is no reason to worry, says SSB researcher Jon Epland to the newspaper.
Most of them, and particularly those who have retired the last number of years live comfortably, Epland says.

The figures sow that on average, Norwegian pensioners have NOK 500,000 in the bank, and many continue to work after the age of 67 (normal retirement age).
