2013 was a record-year for Norwegian seafood exports at NOK 60,4 billion, an increase of 18,8 percent. However, whereas the export of fish went up, the export of oil decreased by 9,1 percent to NOK 280 billion, and the gas export decreased by 4,2 percent.
Combined, the total Norwegian export fell by 3,8 percent.
Imports reached an all-time, and Norway imported goods for a total of NOK 529,2 billion. But in spite of the increase in imports, the total export accounted for NOK 899,7 billion, giving Norway a total profit NOK 370,5 billion.
