Neste på listen er Kootenay / Yoho nasjonalpark i Canada med 81 poeng og South Island i New Zealand med 80 poeng. Den norske fjorder også rangert høyest i 2004-undersøkelsen, med 82 poeng. For å gjøre opp ranking-listen, Natoinal geografi samlet et panel av, - og vi siterer: "437 godt reiste eksperter på en rekke felt." Dommerne noterte den flotte naturen i fjordene og de godt bevarte landlige liv som er kraftig beskyttet. (NRK) ANB Solholm
