Alpine skiing: Svindal second

Norway's Axel Lund Svindal placed second in the men's World Cup super-G race in Beaver Creek, Colorado on Saturday. Sandro Viletta from Switzerland won the race.

Many thought Svindal had won, but the Swiss, with bib number 30 came from behind, and beat the Norwegian by 0.20 seconds .

But Super-G Olympic champion Svindal seized the overall World Cup lead on 265 points, ahead of Swiss Didier Cuche with 238.

Norway's Kjetil Jansrud placed sixth.
