The second political poll for June, carried out for NRK and Dagbladet by IMMI, shows a loss of support for the ruling Labour Party by 6 percent points. The poll, published Saturday, shows a gain of 5.6 percent points for the Conservative Party and 2.7 points for the Progress Party. For the other parties there were only minor changes. Friday's political poll for June, carried out for Aftenposten by Opinion, showed a loss of support for the ruling Labour Party by 8 percent points, down to 28.2 per cent. The poll showed a gain of 4 percent points for the Conservative Party and 2.6 points for the Progress Party. The Christian Peoples' Party, which headed the former coalition government, maintained its position from last month, at 11 percent. For the other parties there were only minor changes. Friday's poll showed that Labour has lost 200,000 supporters from May till June. This is a decline probably never seen in the history of Norwegian public polling, according to Aftenposten. Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg can give no good reason for the loss of support from the voters, but points to several difficult political issues which are under consideration at the moment. The next parliamentary elections in Norway are coming up in 15 months. (NRK/Aftenposten)Rolleiv Solholm
